Question about first runs....

If someone could clear upa little confusion with me that would be great. The first run Josefina has a 1 on her neck. Does a first run Kaya, Felicty, Addy, or Kit?? I know that first runs of the others were WB's, but do they have any indictation if they were a first run? I am very curious, because I am planning on getting s first run Josefina, and am considering getting a first run of other dolls. My Addy doll, was said to be a first run doesn't have a number one, but a circled C and some numbers: 148/16.

If anyone could help I'd be very grateful!

I've never seen a doll with a 1 on the back of her neck. Never. My prototype 1991 Felicity DOES NOT have a 1. My first run Kit (well, she came in Oct./Nov. 2000) DOES NOT have a 1. My PM Josefina DOES NOT have a 1.

None of mine do either. I have a first edition Kit, I got her as soon as she was in the catalog. I will check all my white bodied Sam' and Molly's, but I don't think they have it either....

I have white bodied, 1988 Molly, Samantha and Kirsten none have any numbers next to or under Pleasant Company on the back of their necks.

I have pm tan bodied, Molly, Samantha and Kirsten and non of them have any numbers next to or under Pleasant Company on the back of their necks.

I have a 1991 Felicity, she does not have any numbers next to or under Pleasant Company on the back of her neck.

I have a first issue 1993 Addy with 148/18 under Pleasant Company on the back of her neck.

I have two 1997 first issue (?) Josefina that do not have any numbers next to or under Pleasant Company.

I have one 1997 first issue (?) Josefina that does have the one with a circle around it to the right of company on the back of Josefina's neck.

I have a 2000 first issue Kit's with 70H9 below the Pleasant company.

I have a 2004 first issue Nellie, but she is downstairs and I don't want to go look at her neck. Sorry.

I have a 2005 first issue Elizabeth with 11L03 below the Pleasant Company on the back of her neck.

I have never heard of a one on any dolls neck except for Josefina. Hope this helps.

Josefina is the only doll with a 1 on the first run dolls that I know of, too.
However, there were more "runs" than just the first run in 1997, when Josefina was released. That's why there are PM Josefinas without the 1 on their necks. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I believe my Josefina is a first run doll. She does not have a 1 on her neck. I won her in a contest that AG had before the doll even came out. I didn't receive my doll until 1998 (the year after her release), but I've always assumed they would have put some dolls aside for the contest winners (I'm pretty sure there were only 21 people who won dolls from this contest, 20 who won what I won, the doll, her accessories, and hardcover book, and one who won everything from her first 3 books, so really not that many to set aside). I have a friend who has a Josefina with a 1, and my doll looks absolutely identical to hers.

From what I have read, the marking on your Addy indicates she's a first run doll.
